IT Project Engineer
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 Reports to: Head of Engineering Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About Our Client
Our client is a specialist communications and IT services provider supporting UK businesses with tailored technology, software and hardware solutions.
They are looking for an experienced IT Project Engineer to implement and deliver technology projects for their customers. This is primarily a field-based role, focused on delivering projects successfully and achieving positive outcomes for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage a range of IT and networking projects. Act as a key technical escalation point for the support team. Work directly with customers and sales teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technology solutions. Support the onboarding and implementation of new technologies and systems. Create clear technical documentation and deployment processes. Work independently to identify solutions and improve customer outcomes. Ensure projects are delivered effectively, professionally and to agreed requirements.
What Our Client Is Looking For
Proven experience as a Technical Project Engineer or in a similar IT engineering role. Strong experience implementing and troubleshooting cloud, hardware, software and networking solutions. Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Azure and Microsoft 365. Good knowledge of Meraki, DrayTek and cloud networking technologies. Experience with Entra ID, Group Policy and Endpoint Manager, as well as other IT administration and security technologies. Strong project management skills, including working with customers and internal teams to ensure projects stay on track. Experience with the Cyber Essentials framework and general IT security best practices.
Qualifications
Full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
