Are you looking for a rewarding Mental Health Support Worker role in St Austell or the surrounding Cornwall area?
We are currently recruiting Full-Time Mental Health Support Workers to join an established 8-bed residential mental health service in the St Austell area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to people's lives while building a long-term career within mental health and social care .
The Opportunity
You will be supporting adults within a small, supportive 8-bed residential setting , providing person-centred care and helping residents develop independence, confidence and life skills.
You will become an important part of the team, building positive relationships with residents and providing consistent support in a safe and homely environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Providing person-centred mental health support Supporting residents with daily living and independence Providing emotional and practical support Encouraging residents to participate in activities and community life Supporting individual care and support plans Promoting dignity, choice and independence Working alongside colleagues and other professionals Maintaining accurate records and handovers Helping to maintain a safe, positive and supportive environment
Hours & Pay
£13.50 per hour to start
Full-time positions 40+ hours per week Waking night shifts Sleep-in shifts Permanent opportunities Starting October 2026
Who We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from candidates with experience as a:
Mental Health Support Worker | Support Worker | Care Worker | Healthcare Assistant | Residential Support Worker | Mental Health Worker | Healthcare Worker
Previous experience within mental health, residential care, supported living, learning disabilities or complex needs would be highly desirable.
Most importantly, we're looking for people who are:
Caring and compassionate Reliable and dependable Patient and resilient Confident working as part of a team Passionate about supporting vulnerable adults Looking to develop their career within health and social care
A full UK driving licence is highly desirable , as a company vehicle is available for work-related duties.
