Quality Assurance Technician - FMCG £28,000 - £30,000 + 33 Days Holiday + Flexible Hours + Training Support Preston
Do you come from a Quality Control or Quality Assurance background in the Manufacturing sector and want to progress your career with an international FMCG business that can provide tailored training & development opportunities?
This well-established manufacturer supplies household goods to many of the UK's leading retailers and is currently undergoing a significant period of investment and growth. As part of a major site consolidation project they are developing a new facility near Preston and creating opportunities within their Quality & Compliance team.
In this role you will support quality assurance across raw materials, packaging and finished products, carrying out sampling, testing, compliance checks and documentation reviews to ensure products meet customer and business standards. You’ll receive full training on manufacturing processes & systems before working closely with both the Quality and Production teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a QA, QC, Laboratory or similar role in a manufacturing environment, along with excellent attention to detail and an eagerness to pick up new skills quickly.

Day-to-day of the role:
Carrying out product testing, sampling and quality checks to ensure products consistently meet customer and business standards Reviewing specifications, supplier documentation and quality records while maintaining accurate compliance paperwork Supporting audits, investigations and continuous improvement activities across the site Working closely with Production and other departments to identify issues, solve problems and uphold quality standards
The ideal person will have:
Experience within a QA, QC, Laboratory or Compliance role in a manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot defects, trends and potential quality issues Good IT and organisational skills, with confidence managing records and documentation
