Job Title: Specialist Podiatrist – High Risk & MSK Banding: Band 7 Location: Bromley, South-East London
Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 Months Hourly Rate: £30-£34 per hour Working Hours: 3–4 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday required, Friday desirable)
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Specialist Podiatrist to join a community podiatry service based at either Caritas House, Orpington, or Beckenham Beacon Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled clinician with expertise in both high-risk foot care and MSK podiatry to support the delivery of specialist podiatry services.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, including high-risk patients and wound care management, while working within a supportive multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a specialist caseload of high-risk podiatry patients
Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring wound care and ulcer management
Provide specialist MSK podiatry assessment and treatment
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
Deliver patient education to support self-management and prevention strategies
Make appropriate discharge decisions and onward referrals where required
Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
Qualifications and Experience
HCPC registered Podiatrist
Experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent
Extensive experience managing high-risk foot caseloads
Proven wound care and ulcer management experience
Strong background in MSK Podiatry
Confidence in patient discharge planning and onward referrals
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work independently within a clinic-based setting
