Role : Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: UK based

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing Agile engineering team. This role will focus on supporting and maintaining existing cloud infrastructure, whilst also contributing to the design and development of modern, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure solutions.
Team players are essential for us, as this position will include supporting the wider DevOps team by mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and helping to build confidence across technical areas. You will also contribute to planning complex technical work, breaking down deliverables into manageable tasks, and supporting the team in managing uncertainty. In addition, we are looking for someone to play a key role in improving DevOps practices, bringing experience in infrastructure testing, Terraform best practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and introducing alternative technologies where appropriate.
You will work across a range of AWS technologies, supporting infrastructure hosted on services including ASGs, ECS, RDS Aurora MySQL, MSK, ElastiCache, S3, and Redshift Spectrum. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team during a period of technical growth, with platform upgrades and ongoing discussions around architecture, technology, and future direction. The ideal candidate will drive improvements to deployment processes, rollback strategies, monitoring, and migration approaches, while contributing to coding standards, peer reviews, and the adoption of new ideas and engineering best practices.
What are we looking for?

Experience managing live production environments, including incidents, production changes, and new system rollouts Highly proficient with Terraform, particularly within large-scale environments Experience designing and creating reusable Terraform modules Strong familiarity with Bash/Shell scripting Awareness of cloud costs and cost visibility Experience deploying and maintaining PHP systems, including PHP 7 and PHP 8 Strong experience working with Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu Familiarity with ETL processes and tools Experience working with relational databases including SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL Experience deploying and maintaining MPP data warehouses such as Snowflake or similar Understanding of Microservices architecture High proficiency with Git Experience using HashiCorp Packer for AMI builds 5+ years of commercial experience in a DevOps or infrastructure-focused role Experience working at scale Deep hands-on experience with AWS, ideally with 5+ years' experience using:
