We are seeking a GCSE English Lecturer for a cover position at our educational institution in Southwest London. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering £40 per hour. The ideal candidate will be passionate about English literature and language and committed to delivering high-quality education to students preparing for their GCSE exams.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures on the GCSE English curriculum, focusing on both literature and language components. Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools to effectively teach and evaluate students. Assess and grade students' coursework, essays, and examinations. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and interests of students. Provide feedback and support to students, helping them improve their critical thinking and writing skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A degree in English, Education, or a related field. Proven experience teaching English at the GCSE level or similar. Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and exam requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students. Flexibility to work full-time or part-time as required by the institution.
