The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
Deliver creative, engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. Inspire students through the study of literature, language and creative writing, helping them develop confidence and a lifelong appreciation of English. Create a positive and inclusive classroom where every student feels supported, challenged and motivated to succeed. Assess progress effectively, adapting your teaching to meet the needs of learners of all abilities. Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the continued success of a thriving English department and the wider school community.
About You
We're looking for an English Teacher who has:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential). A genuine enthusiasm for English and the ability to inspire students of all abilities. Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment. High expectations for student achievement, behaviour and personal development. A positive, reflective approach and a desire to contribute to a supportive and ambitious school community.
