Academics Berkhamsted team is currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support a range of schools in the St. Albans area. We work closely with a number of local Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools who require flexible and reliable support staff for temporary, short-term, and long-term cover.
Location: St. Albans Position Type: Temporary / Short-Term / Long-Term Supply Sector: Education (Primary, Secondary & SEN) Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities available Salary: Competitive daily rates (dependent on experience)

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers, assisting pupils with learning, and helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities Working with individual pupils or small groups to support learning outcomes Assisting students with additional needs, including SEND support where required Helping manage classroom behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment Supporting pupils' social and emotional development Preparing classroom resources and assisting with general classroom duties Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress
Responsibilities may vary depending on the school setting and assignment.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who:
Have experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential) Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Are adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff Have an interest in education, child development, or SEND support Are reliable and flexible with availability
Experience in Primary, Secondary, or SEN settings is highly beneficial but not required.
