Senior Cyber Security Consultant Location: Corsham, Wiltshire (Hybrid Working) Type: Permanent, Full-Time Security Clearance: Must be eligible for DV Clearance Our client, a leading organisation operating within the defence, security and technology sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join their growing cyber capability team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile programmes supporting critical national security and defence-related projects, providing cyber security expertise across a range of complex environments. The Opportunity As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering cyber security advice, vulnerability analysis, risk assessments, audit activities and cyber exercise support to a diverse portfolio of stakeholders. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to assess security posture, identify vulnerabilities, evaluate business risks and contribute to the development of robust cyber security strategies and operational plans. Key Responsibilities
Lead cyber security vulnerability, risk and compliance activities across multiple projects Provide expert input into cyber exercise planning and scenario development Conduct cyber security audits against recognised industry standards and frameworks Develop business risk models and supporting artefacts for operational planning Assess organisational cyber maturity and risk exposure using established frameworks Present findings, recommendations and risk-based advice to stakeholders at varying levels of seniority Support secure-by-design approaches throughout the project lifecycle
Essential Experience
Experience within cyber security, vulnerability management, risk assessment, audit or compliance functions Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks and standards, including NIST and ISO 27001 Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework Experience applying Secure by Design principles Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong report writing, analytical and presentation skills Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
