Manufacturing Operator
We are looking for a motivated Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be involved in processing specialist engineered products through various stages of production, quality inspection, and dispatch.
Main Responsibilities
Operate a range of manufacturing machinery in accordance with production requirements. Process materials and components to meet specified quality standards. Conduct routine inspections to ensure products conform to customer and internal specifications. Prepare finished products for shipment and support dispatch activities. Inspect incoming packaging and transport containers to verify suitability for use. Carry out safe material handling activities using a variety of lifting and transportation equipment. Accurately complete production records and documentation. Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with company quality and health & safety procedures.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in workplace organisation and housekeeping initiatives. Support operational improvement projects and problem-solving activities. Contribute to performance monitoring and production reporting. Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance activities. Assist with the training and development of colleagues where required. Maintain effective communication between shifts to ensure smooth operation.
Requirements
Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment. Experience of band saws, straighteners or grinders within the metals industry would be highly advantageous Experience operating machinery and working to detailed specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Positive approach to health, safety, and teamwork. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment.
The role also includes a bonus of up to £5,075
