Hays are proud to be representing a leading building services consultancy that is looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Yorkshire-based team. The business delivers engineering and sustainability solutions across a wide range of sectors and offers excellent opportunities for professional development.
Your new role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering projects from feasibility through to detailed design.
Responsibilities will include:
Producing mechanical building services designs. Undertaking surveys, calculations and technical assessments. Coordinating with other design disciplines. Attending client and project meetings. Reviewing designs and technical submissions. Mentoring junior engineers. Ensuring compliance with current regulations and standards.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Experience in mechanical building services design. Proficiency with industry-standard design software. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Chartership would be advantageous.
