Randstad have an exciting opportunity for a Freelance Section engineer to work on a Rail Project in Cardiff, Wales for 1 year plus
You will be working on Civils, with Buildings/Architecture elements
Rail experience / PTS is ideal but not essential.
Duties will include:
Technical Verification: Ensure all construction work strictly adheres to design drawings and specifications, and sign off on Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Health & Safety Leadership: Write, review, and enforce Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to maintain a safe working environment.
Team Management: Direct, mentor, and allocate daily tasks to Site Engineers, subcontractors, and site labor.
Short-Term Planning: Create and manage 2- to 4-week lookahead schedules and coordinate material deliveries to prevent delays.
Commercial & Reporting: Resolve technical queries (RFIs), keep detailed site records, and report progress or variations to the project management and commercial teams.
Rate is inside IR35- Circa £450-£500 a day DOE
