We are currently looking for a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our busy team in Abingdon and help shape data-driven success across the organisation. Your reporting and analysis will help senior leaders understand the ever-evolving landscape of higher education and make decisions quickly.
Hours of Work: full time (37.5 hours per week)
As a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll support the Insights function by preparing, reporting, visualising and interpreting data that helps Sales and Marketing make informed decisions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Colleges and Central Services to deliver reliable reporting and help maintain consistent, trustworthy data across multiple systems.
Junior Business Intelligence Analyst Duties:
- Support the preparation and validation of data from core systems (e.g., Navigate, Moodle, CRM tools) for reporting and analysis.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Assist with routine analysis of recruitment, applications, conversion, performance and other key metrics.
- Contribute to monthly reporting cycles and present findings clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Work with senior BI and data colleagues to identify data quality issues and understand root causes.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support to teams and help answer operational data questions.
- Communicate insights clearly and succinctly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Junior Business Intelligence Analyst Requirements:
- Experience with Excel for data manipulation, reporting and visualisation.
- Familiarity (or strong interest in) Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
- Ability to interpret and present data clearly and concisely.
- Strong organisational and communication skills to support stakeholder engagement.
- Proactive curiosity—whether you’re already learning data practices or you’re eager to build them.
