We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our friendly kitchen team at a care home in Burgess Hill .
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who takes pride in preparing fresh, nutritious and appetising meals and enjoys making a real difference to residents' daily lives.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you will work alongside the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals for our residents, ensuring that food is prepared, cooked and presented to a consistently high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard. Following menus and recipes while catering for individual dietary requirements. Supporting the Head Chef with the smooth running of the kitchen. Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety standards. Ensuring food is stored and prepared safely in line with current regulations. Supporting with stock control and minimising food waste. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team. Helping to create a warm and enjoyable mealtime experience for residents.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role. Has a genuine passion for cooking and quality food. Understands the importance of dietary requirements and allergen awareness. Has excellent food hygiene standards. Is organised, reliable and able to work well under pressure. Is caring, patient and respectful towards residents. Works well as part of a team and has a positive attitude.
Care home experience is desirable but not essential , as full support will be provided to the right candidate.
