Your new company A respected, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and mixed-use developments.
The successful candidate will join an established team delivering high-quality cost consultancy services from project inception through to completion, working closely with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
Your new role The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
Preparing cost plans and estimates at all project stages Producing tender documentation and managing procurement processes Evaluating tenders and providing recommendations to clients Contract administration and project cost management Valuations, variations and final account negotiations Preparing financial reports and cash flow forecasts Supporting clients with budget control and commercial advice Building and maintaining strong client relationships
What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will possess:
Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Previous consultancy or client-side experience Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement routes Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills Ability to manage projects independently and as part of a wider team Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Progress towards APC qualification would be advantageous, although not essential
