Day-to-Day
Producing detailed mechanical designs and calculations for building services projects. Liaising with clients and project stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Reviewing and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Attending project meetings and providing technical input to ensure successful project delivery. Supporting senior engineers and mentoring junior team members as required.
Responsibilities
Develop mechanical building services designs and calculations for a variety of projects. Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated engineering solutions. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation. Conduct site inspections and attend project meetings to ensure designs are implemented effectively. Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements. Contribute to the delivery of sustainable and commercially viable engineering solutions.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical building services design. A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Hevacomp and/or TAS is advantageous. Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance, and relevant industry standards. Excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
