About the role
As a Portfolio Manager at NFU Mutual, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering strategic change across the organisation. Leading a team of Project Management professionals, you'll oversee the planning and execution of a sub-portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the wider Enterprise Change Portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role that blends strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, enabling you to shape outcomes that matter.
In this role, you'll:
Provide strategic oversight and guidance across a sub-portfolio of projects, ensuring successful delivery to time, cost, and quality. Lead impact assessments and produce recommendations to maintain portfolio attractiveness, affordability, and achievability. Manage sub-portfolio finances and resources, balancing priorities and reallocating budgets to optimise delivery. Foster a 'one-team' approach, working closely with stakeholders to manage risks, issues, and dependencies. Ensure governance and reporting are robust and aligned with NFU Mutual's Change Framework and Risk Policy. Champion knowledge sharing and continuous improvement through Communities of Practice. Act as an escalation point and coach for project teams, supporting their development and fostering a culture of empowerment. Lead and inspire your team, driving talent management, succession planning, and career development within Group Change.
