A welcoming specialist school in Trowbridge, Wiltshire is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support children aged 5-16 with Autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, communication needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers invaluable hands-on experience working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, psychologists, and specialist SEN professionals in a nurturing educational environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping children access learning in a way that meets their individual needs. You will adapt classroom activities, encourage communication and social interaction, promote independence, and support children with emotional regulation throughout the school day. The SEN Teaching Assistant will also work closely with teachers to implement individual learning plans, celebrate student progress, and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed.

This SEN Teaching Assistant position is ideal for graduates and individuals considering careers in Teaching, Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, or Social Work.
