This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership role, responsible for leading the finance function, supporting the organisation's continued growth, and providing high-quality financial insight to the Executive Team and Board of Trustees.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced finance professional seeking greater flexibility, offering part-time hours , predominantly remote working , and the chance to make a genuine impact within a purpose-driven organisation.
Finance Manager Key Responsibilities
Lead financial strategy, planning and forecasting Produce management accounts, budgets and financial reporting Partner with senior stakeholders on business planning and growth opportunities Oversee audits, compliance, governance and risk management Manage and develop a small finance team Drive continuous improvement across financial systems and processes
About You
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience in a Finance Manager or finance leadership role Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills Experience presenting financial information to Boards, Trustees or Senior Leadership Teams Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Charity Sector Experience Essential
We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have:
Previous experience within the charity, not-for-profit, social enterprise or healthcare sectors Knowledge of Charity SORP and charity accounting requirements Experience working with Trustees and charity governance frameworks Understanding of grant funding, commissioned services or contract-based income streams
