Business Analyst | Somerset| Hybrid
We're recruiting for a Business Analyst to join an established organisation delivering a mix of business, operational and technology change projects.
You'll work closely with business stakeholders, project managers and technical teams, taking ownership of requirements from initial discovery through to delivery. This is a varied BA role suited to someone comfortable working across both Agile and Waterfall environments.
What you'll be doing
Eliciting, analysing and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements Creating user stories, epics and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery Producing Business Requirements Documents and functional specifications Mapping as-is and to-be processes and identifying opportunities for improvement Maintaining requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle Running requirements workshops and stakeholder sessions Assessing the impact of proposed business and system changes Supporting solution design, testing and acceptance activities Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to manage scope, priorities and dependencies Supporting product backlogs and wider change initiatives
What we're looking for
You'll need strong Business Analysis experience with a good understanding of the software delivery lifecycle and experience working across Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
You'll also bring:
Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills Experience of business process mapping and improvement Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of process-mapping tools such as Visio Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to manage several priorities simultaneously
