Our client is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect that can manage diverse stakeholders in different business areas with their own business applications that run their part of Estate and Facilities Management. In this case, the areas cover Sports bookings, Real Estate Management, Student Accommodation, Parking and so on.
All business applications have been under review and part of this has been driven by Digital Strategy 2030 which is a full review of their IT estate, but also some applications are Cloud only now and are holding clients hostage to migrate to Cloud because will no support “on-prem” versions.
So needing to look at whole estate in this area and determine what to do with all of these systems. Discovery has been done and decisions pretty much made on the future state systems and they will be trying to move as much to Cloud as possible. This role, therefore, is to engage with all stakeholder and design a solution architecture of the future state. This need to take into account integration, data and security.
Some of the systems include PlanOn and Kinetic. Not essential they have this at all, but good background. It would be useful to have experience working in Higher Education or public sector involving systems for accommodation, FM, etc but not essential. What is more important is good stakeholder management and solution design of multiple business applications taking into account integration, data and security. Solutions that have a mixture of on-prem and cloud are essential and overseeing design through the implementation period. Migration to Cloud also of interest.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable Solutions Architecture experience designing for business applications
- Experience of manging diverse stakeholders in different business areas to then deliver a wholistic systems design
- Solution Design that enables integration of core systems
- Architecture design for “on premise” and Cloud solutions and migration from “on-prem” to Cloud
- Higher Education experience a bonus and or Local Authority but a blend of public and private sector would suit but not required.
- You will need to be in Manchester areas 2.5 days per week and the rest is remote
This is a 6 months contract with excellent opportunity to renew.
