Position: Backend Python Engineer Pay rate: £400 to £450 Duration: 12 months duration Location: London, Redman Place - onsite 3 days a week. IR35: Outside IR35
Backend Engineer with strong FastAPI and microservices experience, ideally gained in cloud-native environments. Exposure to AI/GenAI products is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable owning technical solutions, contributing to architecture, mentoring others, and working within Agile product teams. Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, GitHub Actions, and modern backend engineering practices is essential.
Essential Skills
Strong Python development experience (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Pytest).
Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, Git/GitHub, GitHub Actions, and microservices.
Knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, OpenTelemetry, and cloud-native development.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to take ownership and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
Desirable
AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and DevOps experience.
Exposure to AI/ML and GenAI technologies.
Knowledge of OAuth/JWT and modern ML frameworks.
