We are recruiting a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function for UK operations within an international, multi-site business. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining robust reporting with practical commercial support.
The opportunity
You will work closely with operational leaders, senior management and the wider finance team to keep financial information accurate, useful and on time. The role has real visibility and calls for someone who is comfortable taking the initiative, challenging constructively and following actions through.
Key responsibilities
Own monthly management accounts, journals, general-ledger accuracy and balance-sheet reconciliations. Produce clear analysis for business leaders and support quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. Lead cashflow planning, including weekly rolling 13-week forecasts and payment runs. Coordinate year-end audit activity, financial statements and periodic tax submissions. Strengthen controls, processes and reporting across a busy multi-company environment. Manage and develop a small finance team while building effective relationships across the business.
About you
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified.
Experienced in an international group, multi-site organisation or comparable SME setting.
Confident with foreign-currency accounting, stock accounting and cash forecasting.
Strong Excel and systems skills, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
A resilient, self-starting communicator who can work independently and meet demanding deadlines.
Package
Salary up to £75,000 per annum.
