We are currently recruiting for PIP and WCA Functional Assessors in Southampton . These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to move into a structured assessment-based position with Monday–Friday working, no nights or weekends, fully paid training and excellent career progression. The Roles As a PIP Functional Assessor , you will assess how an individual's physical and/or mental health conditions affect their ability to carry out everyday activities and mobility. You would be expected to write 3 detailed reports per day. As a WCA Functional Assessor , you will assess how an individual's health conditions affect their functional ability and capacity for work and work-related activities. You would be expected to write 5 to 6 reports per day. In both roles, you will:
Conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments. Take detailed clinical histories and ask structured questions. Assess the impact of physical, mental and cognitive health conditions. Review medical evidence, health questionnaires and supporting information. Apply your clinical reasoning and professional judgement. Produce accurate, objective and evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
The DWP makes the final decision — your role is to provide an objective, evidence-based assessment. Salary & Benefits
