As a Mechanical Design Engineer in Glasgow, you'll play a key role in designing and developing mechanical components. This role ensures the smooth creation of innovative solutions that meet both technical and practical requirements.

Description
Design and develop mechanical components and systems to meet project requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project specifications. Conduct analysis and testing to validate design performance and reliability. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing. Collaborate with suppliers to source appropriate materials and components. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in designs. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team. Support troubleshooting and problem-solving during the manufacturing process.
Profile
A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should have:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices. Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed designs and drawings. Experience in designing for industrial and manufacturing applications. An understanding of materials and their applications in mechanical systems. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design and analysis. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Offer
Salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000, dependent on the level of experience. Permanent position within the engineering and manufacturing sector. Working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, with flexibility around start times. Comprehensive benefits package (details to be confirmed).
