Pay Rate: £35.00 per hour
System Requirement: CareDirector experience is essential

Wakefield Council is looking for a skilled Senior Social Worker to join their Connecting Care Team . This role is perfect for a practitioner who excels at strength-based assessments and thrives on delivering high-quality, integrated care to adults across the borough.
The Core Responsibilities
As a Senior Social Worker within the Connecting Care Team, you will use your expertise to promote independence and wellbeing by:
Executing Statutory Duties: Completing robust, evidence-based Care Act Assessments, Support Plans, and complex Reviews in strict alignment with the Care Act 2014 .
System Navigation: Utilizing CareDirector daily to accurately record case notes, update assessments, and manage workflows seamlessly.
Providing Senior Oversight: Utilizing your advanced knowledge to handle complex, multi-agency cases and mentoring junior staff or student social workers where required.
What is Essential for This Role?
Because this is a senior, fast-moving team, the hiring manager requires candidates who meet the following strict criteria:
CareDirector Expertise: You must have recent, direct experience using the CareDirector system. (Please ensure this is clear on your CV, as the authority cannot provide system training for this contract).
Professional Credentials: A recognized Social Work qualification and an active registration with Social Work England .
Care Act Knowledge: Deep, demonstrable experience implementing the Care Act 2014 within a statutory adult social care setting.
Mobility: A valid UK driving license, access to a vehicle, and business insurance for community-based visits.
