Quantity Surveyor East Midlands Dependent on experience, car allowance and benefits. Fixed term contract, with potential to extend A residential developer is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a fixed-term contract.This is a good opportunity for someone with a background in residential construction who enjoys taking ownership of commercial duties across living projects.
What you will be doing You will support the commercial management of residential developments, working with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to help keep projects commercially on track.
The role will include:
Preparing budgets and cost reports. Managing valuations, CVRs and cost-to-complete reports. Reviewing subcontractor applications and preparing payments. Dealing with variations, claims and final accounts. Issuing tender packs, reviewing returns and supporting subcontractor orders. Working with site teams to keep costs controlled. Maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and subcontractors.
What they are looking for They are looking for someone who has worked in a Quantity Surveyor role previously and is confident about managing commercial responsibilities on residential projects. You will need to be organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload. You will need
Previous Quantity Surveying experience. Residential construction experience would be beneficial. Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction would be preferred. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines. Full UK driving licence.
