We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and candidates who are new to the industry looking to contribute their ideas and experience to a rapidly expanding business. With responsibility for assisting overseeing more than 350 client scheme accounts we are looking for someone with a background in fund accounting, either in-house or within a Third-Party Administrator. This opportunity will require the successful candidate to support the management of the full end-to-end scheme accounts process in line with company procedures.
We have two vacancies - one permanent and one 12 month fixed term contract.
This role can be based in our Croydon, Manchester, Reading, Birmingham or Belfast city centre office with a hybrid workstyle.
What does the role entail?
Preparation of accounts to trial balance/draft stage, through audit and to final accounts sign-off - in accordance with the latest SORP guidelines Liaise with and maintain effective professional relationships with third parties including consultants, trustees, actuaries, investment managers and auditors to meet agreed service standards and timetable target dates Remain up to date and compliant with Isio’s organisational procedures Reconciliation of investment information received from investment managers, investment custodians Analyse and post cash book, bank account, pension payroll and other financial information Agree and process journals and amendments resulting from the audit process and in liaison with trustees and consultants Use the workflow calendar to ensure all internal and external deadlines are met Produce cash flow and other ad hoc reports for internal and external parties, as required. Provide information for actuaries to assist with FRS102 Maintain a culture which reflects Isio’s values, and puts the member at the heart of all activities Attendance of Trustee or client meetings Attending internal and external meetings to provide technical support and guidance on related client administration issues Keeping up to date with technical and scheme changes. Supporting the Treasury, Accounts and Payroll Functions
What we’re looking for
Demonstrable experience of delivering pension fund accounting services to complex Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution and Hybrid pension schemes. GCSE English and mathematics (or equivalent) Strong MS Office skills Strong numeracy skills Good literacy skills including the ability to adhere to and uphold plain English writing principles Excellent communication skills A strong team player Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritise workload, especially at busy times
