Band 6 Acute Neurology Physiotherapist
Pulse is proud to be exclusively recruiting for a Band 6 Acute Neurology Physiotherapist to join a leading NHS hospital in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to work within a specialist neuro service, supporting patients with complex neurological conditions in an acute inpatient setting.

The Role
As a Band 6 Acute Neurology Physiotherapist, you will assess and treat patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions, including:
Stroke
Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
Multiple sclerosis (MS)
Parkinson's disease
Guillain-Barré syndrome
Spinal cord injuries
Other complex neurological presentations
You will work closely with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, consultants, nursing staff, and discharge teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for acute neurological patients.
Develop and implement evidence-based rehabilitation programmes.
Assess mobility, balance, transfers, gait, and functional independence.
Support early rehabilitation and safe discharge planning.
Participate in MDT meetings and contribute to goal setting.
Educate patients, carers, and ward staff on rehabilitation strategies.
Supervise junior staff, assistants, and physiotherapy students.
Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures.
Essential Requirements
BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
HCPC Registration.
Previous NHS experience at Band 6 level or equivalent.
Proven experience within acute neurology, stroke, or neurorehabilitation settings.
Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
