Software Developer Location: Central London (Hybrid) Contract: Permanent | Full-time Salary: £58,000 - £60,000 The Opportunity An exciting opportunity for a Software Developer with strong Python and Django experience to join a collaborative digital team. You'll play a key role in developing and enhancing web applications, supporting system integrations and delivering technology solutions that support strategic business objectives. Working as part of a close-knit development team, you will design, build and maintain web applications and services, delivering secure, scalable and high-quality solutions. Key responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining applications using Python, Django and related technologies Writing clean, secure and testable code Supporting and enhancing existing systems and applications Gathering requirements and collaborating with stakeholders on technical solutions Designing and implementing APIs and system integrations Supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes Working across front-end and back-end development Participating in code reviews and supporting knowledge sharing within the team Ensuring development work follows best practice for testing, security and documentation Supporting UAT, testing and software releases Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and technologies
Essential:
Commercial experience developing with Python Experience using Django Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS Experience with SQL and database design Proficiency with Git and GitHub Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions Experience working with Bash and command-line tools Experience with AWS cloud services Strong understanding of software development best practice Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
React React Native Django REST Framework PostgreSQL Microsoft Dynamics 365 Dataverse Agile development experience Experience mentoring junior developers or conducting code reviews
