Management Accountant Fleckney Full time, Permanent Monday – Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm | Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm £40,000-£45,000 per annum Our client, an established and successful manufacturing business, is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their busy head office finance function. Reporting to the Group Management Accountant and CFO, you’ll support two subsidiaries within the Plastics division, providing accurate financial reporting and acting as a key business partner to the wider business. If you’re a qualified or part-qualified accountant with manufacturing experience, strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business where you’ll play an important role in supporting financial performance and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities for a Management Accountant:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including income
statements, balance sheets, variance analysis and commentary.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed
assets, accruals, prepayments, inventory and banking.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC.
- Supporting annual budgets and preparing 6+6 financial
forecasts.
- Preparing audit and tax files and supporting the year-end
reporting process.
- Analysing costs, gross margins, stock and business performance,
identifying variances and opportunities for cost savings.
- Working closely with operational and non-financial managers to
provide financial insight and support decision-making.
- Reviewing standard costing and absorption rates to ensure
accurate stock valuation. Key Skills for a Management Accountant:
- CIMA or ACCA qualified, or studying towards the final level,
with relevant experience.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting
experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the
