We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Glasgow, Scotland. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start and offers a rewarding role within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert psychiatric care to older adults, ensuring high standards of clinical practice
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to the needs of older patients
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and relevant clinical governance standards
- Participate in ward rounds, case reviews, and contribute to service development
Qualifications & Experience
- Full GMC registration
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status
- Proven experience in Old Age Psychiatry
- Previous experience in a Consultant role within the NHS
