Management Accountant – Barton-Upon-Humber – Competitive Salary and Benefits Package Are you a commercially minded Management Accountant looking for a role with real ownership, variety and visibility? Chase & Holland are proud to be supporting a long-established, successful and growing engineering business, to recruit for a Management Accountant to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting an, commercially focused role which will take ownership of two key areas of the Finance function, including the management accounts for a specialist and a significant supplier rebate income stream across the wider Group. With a nationwide presence and diverse operations, you'll work closely with both operational and senior leadership teams, providing insight and driving financial performance. Key responsibilities will include:
Producing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting Providing insightful commentary, variance analysis and financial information to support decision-making Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, including regular site visits Leading budgeting and forecasting processes Completing VAT returns and maintaining robust financial controls Managing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any risks or discrepancies Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors Taking ownership of supplier rebate accounting, ensuring income is accurately recorded, reconciled and reported Working with suppliers, buying groups and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve discrepancies Improving financial reporting, processes, controls and automation Developing meaningful dashboards, KPIs and analysis to support commercial decision-making
About You:
Previous experience producing management accounts and insightful MI reporting Strong reconciliation and analytical skills A proactive approach to problem-solving and process / reporting improvements Excellent attention to detail and accuracy IT literate including ERP systems and Excel Confidence working with large data sets and complex financial information Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders
