Multimedia Architect
Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days a week on-site) Salary: Up to £110,000 + Benefits
The Opportunity
We're partnering with a leading media organisation to appoint a Multimedia Architect , a key role for shaping the future of a complex multimedia technology landscape.
Working within the Multimedia team, you'll define and evolve architecture across media asset management, storage, editing, collaboration and content delivery environments. This is a highly visible position where you'll influence technology strategy, evaluate emerging platforms, drive architectural standards and ensure multimedia systems remain scalable, secure and fit for future business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
Define and maintain the architecture for the multimedia technology estate, including platforms, workflows, integrations and supporting infrastructure Develop technical roadmaps, standards and design principles that align with business and technology objectives Ensure platforms meet key requirements around performance, resilience, scalability, operational stability and disaster recovery Maintain architectural documentation, including current-state and target-state designs, decision logs and technology roadmaps Identify opportunities to optimise platforms, workflows, storage solutions & operational efficiency Partner with Product leadership to help shape the long-term multimedia technology strategy
Technology Evaluation & Integration
Lead the technical assessment of new multimedia tools and platforms Provide recommendations around adoption, implementation and long-term suitability Design integration strategies across media asset management, editing, archive, storage, collaboration content delivery platforms Assess emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve capabilities across the estate
Governance & Security
Establish architecture standards and ensure solutions align with agreed principles and support models Define security architecture covering access controls, authorisation models, data protection and compliance requirements Provide architectural assurance for programmes, projects, upgrades & platform changes Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned with organisational governance standards
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams and external suppliers to translate requirements into practical solutions Act as the technical authority for multimedia systems and best practice Support vendor selection, solution design and implementation planning Provide guidance throughout projects, upgrades, migrations and complex change initiatives
