Head Chef
Salary : £40,00 - £45,000
Location : Dorking
We currently have an opportunity to recruit an experienced Head Chef who will be responsible for our kitchens and a busy conference and banqueting suite with a capacity up to 500 covers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy environment with a motivated and passionate team.
Skills and Requirements:
- Overall responsibility for daily operations in the kitchen
- Liaising with purchasing companies for food orders
- Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food
- Managing, training and recruiting a brigade of chefs
- Develop menus, control purchases and wastage
- Food Safety & Hygiene and Health & Safety Legislation qualifications.
- Strong motivational and influential people skills
- You will be an effective communicator, and be able to integrate with
other Head's of Department.
- Write menus and emphasis on keeping with current food trends
- An eye for detail and the ability to drive consistent brand standards.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within Restaurants
and Conference & Banqueting.
This is a Full-Time position working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and evenings.
