Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
Adaptations and Home Improvement Works
Undertake visits to residential properties to assess adaptation and repair requirements. Prepare schedules of works, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates. Support the delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), home improvement grants, and related assistance schemes. Recommend suitable adaptations to meet clients' assessed needs. Ensure works comply with building regulations and relevant legislation.
Surveying and Technical Services
Conduct property inspections and condition surveys. Assess building defects and recommend remedial works. Produce technical reports and feasibility assessments. Prepare tender documentation and obtain contractor quotations. Monitor project costs and ensure value for money.
Contract and Project Management
Manage adaptation and home improvement projects from inception to completion. Liaise with contractors, occupational therapists, clients, and other professionals. Monitor the quality and progress of works on site. Undertake post-completion inspections and authorise payments where appropriate. Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and timescales.
Client and Stakeholder Management
Provide professional advice and support to vulnerable residents and their families. Work closely with Occupational Therapists and healthcare professionals. Explain technical information clearly to non-technical customers. Maintain positive working relationships with contractors and external agencies.
Compliance and Health & Safety
Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation. Promote safeguarding and welfare considerations when working with vulnerable residents. Maintain accurate project records and documentation. Ensure compliance with grant conditions and organisational procedures.
