This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join a major programme of digital transformation, helping shape a new data environment from the ground up for this Ipswich based business. The organisation currently operates around 20 different business systems, with very limited integration between them. You will play a key role in changing that — designing the data architecture, building APIs and pipelines to bring information together, and ensuring meaningful, trusted data is available to BI and analytics teams. There is a significant amount of greenfield work, giving you the opportunity to influence both the immediate technical solution and the longer-term data strategy. To be successful it is likely you will have
Proven experience working as a Data Engineer Strong SQL and data modelling skills Experience designing and building APIs, integrations and data pipelines Good understanding of data architecture, data warehousing and cloud data platforms Hands-on experience with Azure technologies Experience developing ETL/ELT solutions Experience with Python, PySpark, Microsoft Fabric, streaming technologies or large-scale enterprise environments would be advantageous.
In return they are offering
A salary of up to £50,000 Hybrid working (following probation period) 25 days plus bank holiday leave Discretionary bonus Income protection, private medical, enhanced sick pay and Life Assurance Excellent progression
This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys greenfield environments and wants the opportunity to genuinely influence how an organisation approaches data, rather than simply maintaining an established platform. If you would like to find our more please apply now.
