Quality Engineer
Location: Rochdale Salary: £43,000 - £47,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client, a successful multi-site manufacturing business, is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team in Rochdale.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive quality professional with experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing to support customer quality, drive continuous improvement and play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI).
Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities
Support and improve product and process quality across manufacturing operations. Lead customer quality investigations, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions. Support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring quality requirements are achieved throughout product launch. Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customers and Suppliers to drive quality improvements. Analyse quality data and customer scorecards, identifying trends and reporting KPIs. Conduct internal and external quality audits in line with ISO standards. Support supplier quality activities and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and company quality standards.
About You – The Quality Engineer
You will have previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within automotive or high-volume manufacturing and be confident working with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Quality Engineer Essential:
Engineering qualification (or equivalent industry experience). Internal Auditor qualification for ISO 9001 (ISO 14001 desirable). Experience with IATF 16949 Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA). Background within a Tier 1 automotive or blue-chip manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis and data analysis skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP systems and customer quality portals.
Quality Engineer Desirable:
Experience within plastics, injection moulding, paint finishing or assembly manufacturing. Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement knowledge.
Additional Quality Engineer Requirements
Full UK driving licence. Valid passport and willingness to travel. Right to work in the UK.
