We're delighted to be supporting our client with the appointment of a Mid-Level & Senior Data Analyst on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional to take a key role in helping the business understand its performance through data. Working across multiple areas of the organisation, you'll transform complex operational data into clear, meaningful and actionable insight, helping stakeholders make informed decisions and identify opportunities to improve performance, utilisation, efficiency and compliance.
This is a genuinely hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of data, solving business problems and working closely with stakeholders to understand what the numbers are really telling them.
You'll have the opportunity to work with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric , alongside T-SQL, Python and advanced Excel. You'll also play an important role in shaping how data and insight are used across the business.
For a senior-level candidate, there will be additional scope to influence analytical approaches, support less experienced colleagues and work more strategically with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, risks and opportunities. Translate business requirements and operational challenges into meaningful analytical solutions. Develop and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports within the Microsoft Fabric environment . Use T-SQL and Python to extract, manipulate, transform and analyse data. Ensure data is accurate, consistent and reliable, investigating and resolving data-quality issues where required. Provide clear insight into business performance, utilisation, efficiency and compliance. Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their requirements and translate data into practical recommendations. Present analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting your communication style to the audience. Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, data quality and analytical capability. Develop and maintain documentation covering reporting processes, analytical methodologies and workflows. Manage multiple analytical projects and reporting requirements, ensuring work is delivered accurately and to agreed deadlines. Contribute to the development of data and reporting standards across the organisation. For a senior appointment, provide guidance and support to junior analysts and contribute to the wider development of the data function.
