Opus Magnum is a design-led, employee-owned manufacturer of bespoke contract furniture based in Wandsworth. We work with leading architects, designers, corporate clients and institutions across the UK, delivering high-quality furniture that combines creative design with precision making. We are a business with a strong reputation, a skilled and committed team, and real ambition for what comes next.
We're looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of projects from quotation through to delivery, working closely with both our outreach and design teams to ensure every client gets the best possible solution.
The role
This is a genuinely varied position. You'll be closely involved in the technical quoting and proposal process, working directly with our director team to price projects. You'll coordinate the project through design development, out to site, and through to handover, staying close to the client relationship the whole way.
You'll work hand in hand with the Outreach team on client-facing matters such as material and sample sign-off, and with the design team to make sure drawings and technical requirements are properly understood and followed through.
What you'll be doing
Preparing quotations and solutions using our in house developed quoting system and presenting clear proposals to clients. Attending briefing meetings with the Outreach team to understand project scope, budget and programme. Working closely with the design team through the design development stage, coordinating manufacturing drawings and ensuring technical requirements are properly understood. Supporting the outreach team with client liaison, including sign-off on materials and samples. Visiting sites to confirm access and requirements and attending client and contractor meetings. Recording and agreeing any variations with the client. Managing Day 2 requirements and any remedial work.
What we're looking for
Experience in estimating, quoting or project management within the bespoke or contract furniture industry, or a related manufacturing environment. Confidence preparing quotations and proposal documents and liaising with all parties involved in bringing a project together. A working knowledge of manufacturing drawings and a strong eye for detail and good design, alongside a solid commercial outlook. Excellent organisational skills and the flexibility to manage several projects at once. A clear, confident communicator, comfortable working with clients, designers and all project stakeholders alike.
What we offer
A collaborative, employee-owned business with real craftsmanship at its core. The opportunity to see projects through from quotation to completion, with genuine ownership along the way. Competitive salary, pension, EOT bonus scheme, and 23 days holiday plus Bank holidays.
