Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Location: Wolverhampton Job Type: Permanent | Full Time We're looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for month-end reporting, balance sheet control and maintaining accurate financial records, while supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts with P&L and balance sheet analysis. Produce and post journals, including accruals and prepayments. Take ownership of fixed asset accounting, including CapEx, capitalisation, depreciation and disposals. Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate accounting for capital expenditure. Manage payroll accounting and operational cost reporting. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items. Support month-end close, statutory accounts and external audit requirements. Assist with financial controls, reporting improvements and finance systems development. Partner with budget holders to provide financial analysis and support business decision-making.
About You
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. Previous experience producing management accounts. Strong understanding of fixed assets, CapEx accounting and balance sheet reconciliations. Experience with journals, accruals and prepayments. Good knowledge of UK GAAP. Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems. Proactive, analytical and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
