The Opportunity
My client is seeking an experienced Optimizely Commerce Technical Consultant / Architect to support the ongoing development and enhancement of a global enterprise eCommerce platform.
This is a hands-on contract role requiring deep expertise in Optimizely Commerce, Microsoft Azure, and enterprise-scale digital commerce solutions. You will join a cross-functional delivery team responsible for delivering new commerce capabilities, platform enhancements, and integrations across multiple international markets.
The successful candidate will combine strong architecture and design skills with the ability to provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Design, architect and implement solutions using Optimizely Commerce Connect. Provide technical leadership across new commerce capabilities, enhancements and strategic platform initiatives. Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts and development teams to produce scalable, maintainable technical designs. Support integrations with enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, PIM, DAM, payment gateways, tax and shipping providers. Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, scalability and performance standards. Participate in architecture reviews, technical design workshops and solution governance activities. Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices. Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues. Contribute to technical documentation, standards and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Act as a trusted technical advisor for stakeholders across business and technology teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
Optimizely & Commerce
Experience delivering enterprise-scale Optimizely Commerce solutions. Experience with:
Optimizely Commerce Connect Optimizely CMS Headless commerce architectures Composable commerce solutions Enterprise B2B and B2C commerce platforms
Microsoft Technology Stack
Hands-on experience with:
.NET / ASP.NET Core / C# REST APIs and integration architecture Azure App Services Azure Functions Azure Storage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
Integration Experience
Proven experience integrating commerce platforms with:
