We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Invasive Cardiac Physiologist to join our team in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality invasive cardiac diagnostic services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of invasive cardiac procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
What will your responsibilities be :
As a Locum Invasive Cardiac Physiologist, you will be responsible for conducting various invasive cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, and pacemaker/ICD implantations. You will work closely with patients to explain procedures, ensure their comfort, and accurately record test results. You will collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and contribute to patient care plans. You will also be expected to maintain and calibrate equipment, adhere to clinical protocols, and stay updated with the latest advancements in invasive cardiac techniques. You will participate in quality assurance activities, assist in the training and supervision of junior staff, and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures. You will be involved in patient education, providing information on cardiac health and post-procedure care. You will also manage inventory and supplies for the catheterization lab, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and participate in research and development projects to improve invasive cardiac techniques and patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Experiences:
Degree in Cardiac Physiology or related field
HCPC registration
Extensive experience in invasive cardiac procedures
Proficiency in cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, and pacemaker/ICD implantations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy in recording test results
