📝 Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Pharmacy Technician (Clinical Trials), you will:
Support the day‑to‑day running of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy service
Work alongside Senior Clinical Trials Technicians to ensure safe and compliant handling of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs)
Assist in developing trial processes aligned with Trust strategies and study requirements
Ensure all trial activity follows legislation, GCP, and local governance procedures
Coordinate staffing within the trials area and contribute to workforce planning
Promote strong teamworking across the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team
Support training, competency assessments, and development of technical staff
Maintain safe systems of work including COSHH, infection control, and statutory standards
📍 Location
Oxford Road Campus – Manchester Royal Infirmary (MFT)
💼 Working Hours
37.5 hours per week Full‑time, Monday–Friday (on‑site)
🎓 Qualifications & Experience Required
Essential:
BTEC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science
GPhC‑registered Pharmacy Technician
Accuracy Checking Technician qualification (ACT Level 4)
Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable (Not Essential):
Clinical Trials Pharmacy experience
- full training will be provided
