Higher Education Business Lecturer
- Daily Rate: 40-50p/h
- Location: East London onsite

We are seeking a dedicated Business Lecturer to join our vibrant campus in East London for a series of specific dates in March. This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching a diverse international student body. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate business courses, focusing on providing an industry-focused learning experience with strong employability outcomes. Day-to-day of the role:
- Design and deliver teaching materials across various modules within the business discipline, using appropriate teaching, support, and assessment methods to ensure student progress.
- Design, mark, and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments, creating opportunities for student improvement.
- Collaborate within the subject team to plan, design, and develop learning outcomes and materials.
- Contribute to the revision and improvement of curriculum content and delivery.
- Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress, and manage all associated academic administration.
- Act as a personal tutor, offering support and guidance to students.
- Develop and maintain an active research record, securing publications or other recognised outputs.
- Coordinate and lead small modules in the business subject area, ensuring student expectations are met.
- Participate in and develop external networks, contributing to internal and external quality assurance processes.
- Engage in recruitment activities, such as webinars and taster lectures.
- Attend team, departmental, and school meetings, and contribute to committees.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- PhD or doctoral degree in Business or a relevant discipline.
- Strong research background with contributions to academic journals (2* and above), conferences, or professional publications.
- Experience teaching business-related modules at undergraduate or postgraduate levels.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse student population.
