Management Accountant London (3 days in the office and 2 from home) Salary up to £70,000 + bonus A leading international law firm is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join its established finance team in London. Working within a sizeable finance function supporting multiple offices, the role will contribute to the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis across the UK business. Sitting within the Reporting and Analysis team, this is a broad management accounting position covering monthly reporting, budgeting, balance sheet reconciliations, KPI reporting and wider finance projects. It would suit an experienced accountant who is comfortable taking ownership of their work, partnering with stakeholders and identifying opportunities to improve existing processes. Key Responsibilities
Prepare the monthly UK management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and associated reporting. Produce variance analysis, investigating movements against budget and providing supporting commentary. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring management reporting is delivered accurately and on time. Prepare headcount and other KPI reporting, identifying and investigating key variances. Complete balance sheet reconciliations covering areas including intercompany, accounts payable, bank loans, debtors, creditors and PAYE. Manage UK accruals and prepayments and provide support with the fixed asset register. Review overhead expenditure reports and work with business support stakeholders to understand spend and its impact against budget. Assist with the annual budgeting process, audit requirements, ad hoc reporting and wider finance projects. Support the maintenance of general ledger structures and contribute to improvements across management accounting processes and systems.
Ideal Candidate
Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA. At least 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience. Strong management accounting experience, including month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems. Previous experience within a professional services environment would be beneficial, including legal, accountancy, architecture or management consultancy. Experience within the legal sector, CRM systems, 3E or a similar finance system would also be advantageous.

Salary up to £70,000 Annual bonus of up to 10% Hybrid working with 3 days in the London office and 2 days working from home
