A prestigious and well-established organisation based in Newcastle is seeking an experienced accountant to join their finance team on a 6-9 month fixed-term contract commencing in September.This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to gain experience within a high-profile business environment, working alongside a collaborative and supportive finance team. The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing monthly management accounts Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes Performing balance sheet reconciliations Supporting month-end and year-end close activities Analysing financial data and providing insightful reports Monitoring and maintaining financial controls Assisting with cash flow forecasting Supporting audit requirements and providing relevant documentation Working closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and guidance Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the finance function
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience working within an Accountant or Management Accountant position Strong management accounts and reporting experience Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills The ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Part-qualified, qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience candidates will be considered
