Domiciliary Care Workers - Driver/Non drivers
Location: Southport, Merseyside
Salary: up to £13.20 per hour
Vacancy Type: Part-time + additional overtime hours available
The Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the wellbeing of others and possess relevant experience in senior care, dementia care, or hospice care. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.
Driver Role
- applicants must have a valid driving licence and access to their own car.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support with medication administration in accordance with prescribed guidelines Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance clients’ quality of life
Qualifications
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is desirable Experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, or senior care is advantageous Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs, training provided Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanour Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
