Cyber Security Analyst £60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits + Bonus Hybrid - 1 Day per Week in Bath
Are you looking for a cyber security role where you can keep your feet firmly on the Microsoft stack, without getting pulled into round-the-clock SOC shifts or systems build/configuration? This could be exactly the move you're after.
We're working with a fast-paced financial services group, currently evolving through a series of acquisitions, to find a Cyber Security Analyst for their brand-new office in the heart of Bath, just a short walk from the train station. You'll join at an exciting point in the business's growth, with an engaged, supportive manager and real scope to help shape how the security function develops.
What you'll be doing
Monitoring and auditing security across the Microsoft stack (Defender, Purview) to spot, flag and escalate risks - this is a second-line, monitoring/audit role rather than a build or configuration one Producing management information and reporting, using some light scripting (e.g. JSON) to support this Supporting audits and compliance checks, with any ISO 27001 knowledge a welcome bonus Working closely with IT and the wider business to keep on top of emerging risks and day-to-day security hygiene Contributing ideas and improvements as the security function continues to evolve alongside the group
What you'll bring:
Solid, hands-on experience with the Microsoft security stack (Defender, Purview) in a monitoring or audit capacity A methodical, detail-focused approach - confident analysing and reporting on data, with some scripting exposure (e.g. JSON) The right to work in the UK without the need for employer sponsorship (all offers are subject to enhanced vetting, standard practice for this kind of financial services role) It would also be great (but not essential) if you had exposure to financial services or FCA-regulated environments, or knowledge of ISO 27001
What's on offer:
up to £65,000 base salary with 10% discretionary annual bonus Hybrid working - just 1 day a week in the brand new Bath office, with flexibility to 2 34 days' holiday (including bank holidays), with the option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days Private medical, income protection and life assurance cover A generous pension scheme, interest-free season ticket loan, and a paid day off each year for a life event
If you want a cyber security role that's about sharp-eyed monitoring and audit rather than late-night configuration work, apply now or get in touch for a confidential conversation about this opportunity.
