Shift pattern: Shifts are organised and agreed in advanced; 7am–3pm, 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm, 1pm–9pm
Salary: £31,064 per annum
Location: Penny Brohn UK National Centre, in Pill on the outskirts of Bristol
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Chef who is looking for a role with a difference. At Penny Brohn UK, our kitchen team cater for a broad range of customers, in a busy but calm and supportive environment where time and thought goes into meeting the needs of each customer and their booking.
Alongside our client work, the Penny Brohn UK National Centre operates as the hospitality venue, Ham Green House, therefore, the successful candidate will be required to prepare a diverse and fresh range of nutritious meals for clients, staff, visitors and commercial guests.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver healthy balanced meals aligned with nutrition guidelines to meet the needs of Penny Brohn UK’s cancer clients as they attend in-person services at the National Centre. Support fundraising events and all other catering requests. Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness. Assist and support with stock, ordering, and overall kitchen organisation. Work alongside other members of the kitchen team as well as working alone when required.
About You
This role is perfect for someone who likes to bring their own ideas and creativity to the work that they do and thrives in a calm, supportive environment. They will also be confident in managing kitchen operations when working solo.
Candidates should have proven experience as a Chef in a similar setting with the ability to work independently. They will have a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and experience and knowledge of working with dietary requirements and allergies. Candidates will be available to work flexibly across weekdays, evening and weekends.
